This extraordinary KON-TIKI FASCINATOR HEADPIECE will not fail to get noticed! Inspired by the magnificent 1947 journey by raft across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands, led by Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl. A moulded raffia hand fan carries a miniature depiction of Heyerdahl's raft, constructed from bamboo with a silk sail flying the face of the Inca god Viracocha. The little raft is grounded on the Raffia fan base with an artificial white Orchid and rose Plumeria. A unique headpiece that will have you turn every head!
The fan spreads 12" by 12" and the mast of the raft towers 5.5" tall, weighing just under 3oz. The creation is carried by a 6" millinery base that has an elastic loop which can accommodate the 2.5" alligator clip or headband included with this fascinator.
